EvaluatingThe evaluation stage is when you assess how it is all working. If you want a program to be successful and to maintain sustainability, then you have to evaluate. If you want a program to be great and to achieve the desired goals, then constant evaluation is key. Sometimes changes need to made, sometimes you find the program isn't being delivered with fidelity. These are important to be aware of, not scare of. When we gain information from evaluations, we can make great changes for success!

Implementation FidelityYou have to continually check to be sure the program was delivered with fidelity - the way the program was intended to be delivered. The data from this will fall into what is called Process Data.
|
Outcome DataYour team will want to evaluate whether the program is providing the outcome you established when you set your goal back in the planning stage. If it isn't, this is when you discuss changes that need to be made.
The CDC provides a variety of helpful tools to use when evaluating programs. You can access their website here: CDC Program Evaluation |
SustainabilityOften new programs have a great deal of momentum at the beginning, then lose effectiveness over time for various reasons. We always want to be sure our students are getting what is best for them, therefore your team needs to make a plan for how the program can be sustained over time. What resources will need to be continued over time?
