Let Me Run for 4th Grade Boys - RE Fall Season - registration opens Thursday, August 27th at 8:00am
Let Me Run
We are very excited to announce the Let Me Run program coming to Raymore Elementary for 4th grade boys! Let Me Run is much more than a running program for boys. Our trained coaches combine exercise with fun activities and lessons to help boys learn teamwork, build relationship skills, create friendships, grow emotionally, amplify their self-esteem, empower themselves and others, and live an active lifestyle. We nurture and celebrate every aspect of what it really means to be a boy, and we let them run. After every season, family, friends, and teachers are astounded by the transformation each boy makes. Let Me Run boys leave the program with a sense of accomplishment, a deeper belief in self, and a greater appreciation for their peers.
Registration for the LMR Fall Season at Raymore Elementary opens this coming Thursday, Aug. 27th, at 8am! We can only take a team of 14 boys, so I highly suggest registering as early as possible. WHAT IS LET ME RUN?
Want to volunteer as coach?
Coaching a team may be one of the most rewarding ways to get involved in Let Me Run. Our coaches get to experience the program first hand, feel a sense of accomplishment in making the difference in the lives of boys and have a ton of fun along the way. If you are available after school from 3:45 - 5:15 and can commit to one and/or two days a week we would love to have you join us in coaching. You can access the coach registration form by going to: www.letmerun.org then go to the “Coaches” tab, click “Become a Coach” and fill out the registration for the “Assistant Coach.” You will also need to complete our background check through Ray-Pec. This is a $12 fee every two years. If you register to become a coach, please send me an email so I can get you the paperwork for the background check. Jenni Beck - [email protected]
Frequently Asked Questions
How many boys are on a team?
There is a maximum of 14 boys. The curriculum was designed for a group this size to facilitate team building and a healthy group dynamic.
How are participants chosen?
Registrations are processed on a first come, first served basis. In the event that there are more boys interested in participating at a particular school/site than available spots, our online registration system will offer the option of boys being added to a wait list.
Program Fees:
Building confidence and setting young boys down the path of a healthy lifestyle is PRICELESS!
However, there are real costs associated with operating a non-profit organization and delivering the Let Me Run program. Registration for the season is $100 per boy. This fee includes: 14 lessons conducted by trained Let Me Run coaches, a Let Me Run program t-shirt and a 5k finisher’s medal. Through the generosity of individuals, corporations, foundations and grants, we are able to provide scholarships and subsidize the program fee. Many families are in a position to make a donation to our scholarship fund. If you are interested in making a donation, please go to the “Scholarship” section on the Let Me Run website for more information.
What if a boy is unable to pay the program fee?
It is the policy of Let Me Run to offer our program to all boys who desire to participate, regardless of the financial status of the family. Based on scholarship funding available, families who are unable to pay the program registration fees will be awarded financial assistance based on their income level. Let Me Run believes a strong sense of pride and ownership is developed when the recipient of scholarship funding has contributed to the cost of their involvement. Therefore, all applicants will be asked to pay a portion of the program fees upon submission of application form. (fee will be refunded if scholarship is not granted) If you are requesting assistance, please click the appropriate link while registering. If you have questions, I can help, email me: Jenni Beck at [email protected].
Attendance Policy
Guardians should be informed prior to registration that boys are not allowed to attend only one session a week and should not sign up for the program if there is a known conflict.
We are very excited and hope you are too! We hope to see your son join Let Me Run for the Fall season. Again, please mark your calendar to go to www.letmerun.org to register your son THIS THURSDAY, August 27th at 8:00am. The season will start September 22.
