Parent Newsletter Information:
The students learned about the role of the school counselor, exceptions to confidentiality, and how/why/when to make a referral to the school counselor. The students identified adults at school and home they trust and can talk to if they or someone they know have a report of bullying and/or are having overwhelming feelings. In addition, we discussed the definition of respect to themselves and others as: accepting differences, following the Golden Rule, responding to anger peacefully and using good manners.
